What is TNR?

 

TNR stands for Trap-Neuter-Release: trapping a cat or dog, neutering the animal to prevent breeding, and safely releasing the animal back to its original location.

 

Benefits of TNR to the Community

 Helps keep the number of street animals in balance
 Is good for the community because it helps prevent public concerns over stray    animals

• Neutered animals can live longer healthier lives
• Neutered animals are less likely to contract serious diseases transmitted through fights or biting
• Neutered animals are less likely to roam and be involved in traffic accidents
